Welcome!

 Welcome to my English7/8, Speech, and Economics Blog.  The purpose of this blog is to let you know what is going on within our classroom and how we are using the iPad to enhance learning.

English 7 has just finished reading Tuck Everlasting.  We are currently working on diagramming sentences with direct and indirect objects.  We are also reviewing some basic grammar skills.  We will soon start our next novel, Jacob Have I Loved.

English 8 will finish up reading The Outsiders this coming week.  We will test and then watch the movie to compare and contrast the novel to the movie.  We are also diagramming sentences and reviewing grammar skills. 

Speech 10 is working on our second big speech of they semester.  We are writing Inspirational speeches on topics that we are passionate about and we will present them using a visual aide.  Our next assignment will be a fun speech related to the history of Halloween.  Stay tuned for pics. 

Economics 12 is currently playing the Stock Market Game in groups of two.  We are enjoying watching our stocks as they change everyday.  We are going to soon be working on a Cost of Living Project.
